Hello, I'm Chris and welcome to my portfolio site! I am a 2020 graduate of the two year Enterprise Web and Mobile Developer program at triOS College. During my time in the program I gained knowledge and experience with various web and software technologies, as listed below. As part of the course, I carried out a web development internship at SlyFox Web Design & Marketing, where I worked on WordPress sites. Prior to attending triOS, I worked at Cineplex Digital Media in a Linux based software/hardware technical support role. Please take a look at my work and feel free to get in touch!
Since completing my program at triOS, I have made a website for Aeriform Aerial Analysis. It is a static site written in HTML, CSS (Flexbox and Bootstrap) and a little JavaScript. There is also a simple PHP mailer script for the contact form.
Below are various web projects that I have made during my time in the Web Developer program. Most courses in the program span four weeks. Typically, a course consists of about one to two weeks of instruction where we would start a basic project together as a class to get familiar with the new language or framework. The next two to three weeks are spent working on our individual projects with the knowledge we just learned. As you can imagine, this requires the ability to learn quickly and good research/problem-solving skills to add to the foundational knowledge provided during class instruction.
I have made two Android apps and one VS Code extension. One app was written in Java and the other in Kotlin. The VS Code extension was written in TypeScript.

This VS Code extension was written in TypeScript. It lets users set a timeframe (in minutes) for when they want to be reminded to stand up, stretch or take a walk. The reminder period can be updated or disabled, altogether.

This app was written in Java. It was a group project I made with two classmates. The idea for the app is to suggest activities for the user to do based on price, time of day and group size. My main contributions were designing the SQLite database and some of the main functionality.

This app was written in Kotlin. It allows users to create a user and edit their details. From there, they can check/uncheck tasks from their morning routine. Users can also be archived and deleted. All data is stored locally in a SQLite database.
These are some graphics I made in Adobe Illustrator. They're for a mock company called Code Rover.
